The Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) has closed down the Government Higher Secondary School Phek indefinitely as the federal government failed to satisfy the calls for for relievers to make up for 16 staff within the college who had been both transferred, retired or handed away.
While closing down the varsity, public leaders expressed their disappointment with the insincere angle of the government in the path of GHSS Phek.
PTYS President, Neizote Venuh informed that the publish for the Geography instructor was not extended and a Botany trainer has been absent from her duty for many years. He added that another two posts are going to be transferred out with posts, which might mean a shortfall of as much as 20 lecturers in the faculty.
